  2. Regarding a question in quset1, it was given that point of minimum intensity in diffraction pattern is not perfectly dark. How is that possible given that intensity is k(sinb/b)^2, and thus when sinb =0 , intensity also is zero.

  4. Sir, what is the main reason behind different fringe width in diffraction&how the width of fringe is decided to be same or different in interference and diffraction Sir, how we determine the width of the fringe will be same or different in interference and diffraction and reason behind it ?

  24. Sir PLEASE CLEAR MY DOUBT THAT IF 0=ZERO then Beta=zero then if we put it in relation of Ir and Io then how will it become one not zero?
    7 years ago by Vinay Dayal
    Ans 1 ->
    havent you studied limits may dear friend
    7 years ago by Nirav Bhandari
    Ans 2 ->
    Dude here 0/0 is called an indeterminate form... that is it doesn't correspond to any value.. However when we consider this case under a limit.. it turns out to be 1.. Limit of sin(x)/x when x tends to zero is 1... Check it for yourself... it's very interesting..

  26. in interference its said all fringes are of same intensity..but is it so? as the phase difference between the sources changes..the final intensity on screen changes...please explain
    8 years ago by mayukh sengupta
    Ans 1 ->
    Dude... u are right... phase changes for different positions... but, remember?... intensity is related to cosine of phase change... these values are same and hence, intensities are same

  30. WHY DOES THE WIDTH OF FRINGES GO ON DECREASING IN A DIFFRACTION PATTERN , THE CENTRAL MAXIMA HAS A DIFFERENT WIDTH THAT IS OKAY BUT WHY IS THE WIDTH OF OTHER FRINGES NOT CONSTANT EVEN WHEN THE MINIMA ARE AT N LAMDA ONLY?
    8 years ago by Tanisha Aggrawal
    Ans 1 ->
    Dude... for all minimas, beta=m(pi)... As for all these values, sine(beta) is same and beta is different, intensity varies... that is intensity decreases with increase in beta...

  32. why the light bend to the edge of obstacle. is there any special condition?
    9 years ago by Vibhu Sharma
    Ans 1 ->
    This is due to diffraction of light... it is perceptible more if the obstacle size is of the order of wavelength of light.

  34. Sir, Whats the best way to revise things ?
    10 years ago by Ankit Agrawal
    Ans 1 ->
    For theory - you need to repeatedly review content from various references and gradually you will be able to frame your own language for it.... For Problems - try to make regular short notes for the concepts in different problems for each topic and review these on weekly basis...
