  8. sir in Q. no. 8 of Q. set 1, we are given y in terms of x. And we are said to find (dy/dt) when x=2. Now my solution was, (dy/dt) = (dy/ dx) * (dx/ dt). (dy/dt )= (8-3x^2)* (dx/dt) Now, when x=2, then (dy/dt )= { 8- (3* 2^2)}* (d2/dt ) and since derivative of a constant is 0, therefore (d2/dt ) should also be equal to 0. and therefore (dy/dt )= 0. but then the solution is given something else. Where am I wrong?
    3 years ago by INDRA CHOUDHURY
    Ans 1 ->
    dx/dt is the same as velocity as velocity is displacement/time.

  28. y=3/(x^6) why cant we write it in this way dy/dx=3/(6x^5)
    9 years ago by tanuj kasal
    Ans 1 ->
    you are violating the rules of differentiation... its for x^n not for 1/x^n to be applied only in denominator...

  30. I didnt understand ex:3 that x power 5/4
    9 years ago by Rajdeep Mukherjee
    Ans 1 ->
    In this example 5/4 will come in front of x and according to formula the power left on x will be n-1 that means 5/4-1= 1/4 so x will have the power1/4 left on it.Hope the answer will help you.
