Ans 1 ->
This is because we make an imaginary triangle AED of dimensions 6m and 2m. The dimensions are not 10 m and 2m but they are 6m and 2m.

Here sign convention is not applied why ? if we apply sign convention here south is positive or north is positive ? Can I apply any one of those sign conventions or I have to apply the convention north and east are positive and south and west are negative always ?
