    8 years ago by Yunseo Jang
    Ans 1 ->
    This is because we make an imaginary triangle AED of dimensions 6m and 2m. The dimensions are not 10 m and 2m but they are 6m and 2m.

  36. Distance is the magnitude of displacement right ! then how distance is equal to distance traveled all the time ?If a person travels from one point to another point not in a straight line path .Then displacement is the shortest distance along with direction and distance is its magnitude .distance traveled (also called as path length )is not equal to distance here then how distance and distance traveled are always equal ?
    9 years ago by sunny g
    Ans 1 ->
    path length is always considered as distance if nothing else is specified... and displacement is the airline length between start and end points as you mentioned... as you are clear to this no need to create any confusion...

  38. If man of 500N carrys a load of 100N up a flight of height 5m in 4s. What is his power?
    10 years ago by toshita sharma
    Ans 1 ->
    750 Nm/s
    10 years ago by Rajarshi Sengupta
    Ans 2 ->
    Here force is 500+100N=600N Then W=FD=600*5=3000J that's why the power isW/t=3000/4s=750Nm/s.
    10 years ago by sapra akash vipulbhai

    750W or 750Nm/s

  46. 1 dimension (1d) doesn't exist if there is a point it also has two coordinates
    10 years ago by Amrita Pandey
    Ans 1 ->
    A point is just a location in space.We can see it as a point in a line which is one dimensional . This one dimensional line lies in 2-d plane. So in order to tell where is the point in the plane we have to specify it by using an ordered pair . for example if the point is on x-axis 5 meters away from origin then we tell its location by using the point (5 0) means it is 5 meters away from origin in horizontal direction and o meters away from origin in vertical direction .
