  8. please note that instead of solving this by sirs method we can easily solve using graphs we can draw graphs pf parabola and straight line and we can verify where accn is positive and velocity is negative or accn is negative and velocity is positive

    akanksh is right, it can be done by graphical method but all students must practice regularly on all methods as in exam only with practice you can judge which method is giving you short solution... in this problem the time of solution will be almost same by both methods...
