  6. sir while deriving mirror or lens formula we already take into account the sign conventions. sir then why while solving problems we apply sign conventions again?

    Its so bcoz ... while deriving we considered a particular case and applied sign conventions therefore it gets generalised but when we again apply sign convention in the general formula we get the particualr case back.
