  10. A ball is thrown from a point O aiming at an angle 30 degree with the horizontal so that the ball hits the target at B but the ball hits at point A, a vertical distance h below B.If the initial velocity of the ball is 20 m/s and the horizontal distance between O and C is 10m.Find the value of h. (a) g/6 (b) g/10 (c)g/3 (d)g/12

  26. An aeroplane moving horizontally with a speed of 180 km/hr drops a food packet while flying at height of 490m the horizontal range of packet is ???
    7 years ago by roma yadav
    Ans 1 ->
    Converting The speed of the aeroplane into m/s by multiplying them with 18/5. we Get 180 * 18/5 = 648 horizontal velocity is 648m/s The height of the aeroplane from the ground is 490m. (i.e 490 = 1/2 *g *(t*t)) 490=1/2*10*(t*t) we get t=root over 98 the distance travelled horizontally in root over 98 second is = root over 98 * 648 (i.e the horizontal range)

  28. QuSet-2 problem 8... why do we take T'=2usin0/(g+ g/10)=10/11 (T) instead of using the equations... (a) on ascent... 0=usin0 +(-g -g/10)t1 and (b) on descent -usin0=0+(-g+g/10)t2 as it always opposes velocity?
    8 years ago by PSai Krishna Kvmb
    Ans 1 ->
    Yes... first equation you've written is wrong... other equations you've written are used for approximate calculations...
