  2. sir in example 5 why didnt u consider the pressure of the fluid (the one which we derived in bernoulli's theorem as P1and P2) ?? plz reply as soon as possible..
    9 years ago by Khushboo Jain
    Ans 1 ->
    In derivation we assumed a section of continuous body and thus it experiences pressure due to fluid body on the left as well as due to the body on the right.Whereas in this case we apply Bernoulli's equation on a complete body and only pressure it experiences is due to atmoshphere.

    Ans 2 ->
    Sir but still won't the point B experience the pressure (rho)gh+Patm
    9 years ago by nehal gupta
    Ans 3 ->
    In this case p1 is patm because there is only atmospheric pressure and p2 will also be patm and not patm +rho(gh) as it is the pressure outside which is patm and not patm +rho(gh) which is the pressure inside the liquid.
    8 years ago by Ayush Singh Rajput
    Ans 4 ->
    It is a case of free fall the pressure due to fluid was because of its weight which was balanced by the lower part of the fluid but in this case there is no force to balance the fluid so no pressure due to weight. Watch the video - in fluid statics about effective g here g.eff=0. even though the atmosphere is continuously applying a pressure on the container on fluid from all directions to compress it inwards no matter what.

    Ans 5 ->
    To put in better words. (Rho.g.h) exists because the weight of the fluid acts in downward direction and the bottom of the container is opposing this weight. Therefore the bottom exerts an opposite force. But in this case since the bottom of the container is removed nothing opposes the weight of the liquid. therefor pressure at every point will be the same.
    8 years ago by Vin Diesel
    Ans 6 ->
    When bottom is removed pressure at bottom is also atmospheric pressure. ie. dP=0, So dPE=dKE.
    7 years ago by Rupesh Koirala
    Ans 7 ->
    at the top pressure will act as well as the bottom... net pressure will cancel out... so basically wrt to B A is at height H and wrt to A ,B is at height H so net pressure is zero
