For the rod of mass M,in the equation of motion i.e.,in the second equation,have you simply substituted 'f' in place of 'T'?Or you have used some other logic?

sir I take that string is just attached to rod at one end then for acceleration of rod friction will not be coming into picture and it is not mentioned in the question as well. Sir I just want to say how I thought immediately after seeing question and I understand your solution sir.

do not think that bead is hung on the string as bead is free to slide on the string as friction on bead acts upward due to sting same friction acts downward on sting due to bead and as sting is mass less the two forces acting on string will be same
