  6. Sir how are we getting interference patterns on the line? I know about YDSE which is on a screen.But here the distance D varies.So does that mean interfernce patterns are produced in the entire 3D space and YDSE is just a special case? Sir Please Reply

    Interference is produced everywhere.... consider the wave nature of light... The thing is that a screen helps us notice the patterns.. The detector in this case might have an internal screen which helps it in counting the maximas..

    The path difference changes... u are right And here Sir has considered the difference.... As at zero and infinity we got those values.. the other values must be intermediate to these.. He has simplified the process... how many will u sit and count?
