  4. Why will surface tension not act on complete hemisphere? Why will it only act on the outermost circumference?

    Ans 1 ->
    Surface tension shall act between any 2 molecules inside the sphere but it is only an internal force hence it will cancel out.Imagine you draw a line in the inner part of the sphere it will be acted upon by forces on its both sides,but on the circumference there is only one side(which is under consideration )hence the forces will not cancel out.
