  6. can we consider a cylinder as an equipotential surface for a point charge . if not explain why electric field is not normal to all the points on the surface ?

    no electric field lines of a point charge are radial and not perpendicular to surface of cylinder draw this in a paper you will understand

    because then there will be two directions of electric field at a single point which is not possible
