  8. sir but if we apply work done by tension method.. : 6Tx +Ty=0 implies 6x=-y (the coordinate system is along the +ve x & y axis..) whats wrong in dis method.? plz reply thanking you, your obedient student

    If you carefully see what you are doing... here on big block displacement x is opposite to 6T so you must write -6Tx + Ty = 0 which will give you y = 6x
