  2. the following answer is found to be wrong cause it must be 3:1 as the radius of rotation of sat are of R for A and 3R for B so i think there are needed some changes in the videos answer . thank you

  4. Sir,you discussed here that if the speed of the satellite becomes less than the orbital speed then the satellite will come inside the circular orbit and follow a elliptical path in such a way that earths center will be at the farthest foci and if its trajectory intersect the earths surface it will crash, but shouldn't it crash even if it is slighly less like by dv because then earth will attract it and the boundeed motion will no longer take place?

  10. sir the earth itself revolves around the sun and wrt earth only the satellite moves in a circular path. and as a earth is now a non inertial frame of reference shouldn't we apply pseudo force on satellite 'ma' where a is the acceleration of the earth?

  16. sir , you have said that perigee and apogee are the distances between the sun and the perihelion and the distance and the aphelion respectively but perigee and apogee are the same as perihelion and aphelion respectively in the moons orbit which orbits the earth .
    9 years ago by aiswarya rallapalli
    Ans 1 ->
    perihelion and aphelion are the terms used for closest and farthest points of orbit whereas perigee and apogee are the terms used for distances of these points from focus/centre of gravitational attraction to the orbiting body...

  20. Distance between the centres of two stars is 10a.the masses of the stars are M and 16M and their radii a & 2a respectively .A body of mass m is fired straight from the surface of the larger star toward the surface of the smaller star..what should be its minimum intial speed to reach the surface of smaller star? obtain the expression in termas of G, M, and a.
    10 years ago by mitesh patel
    Ans 1 ->
    User conservation of energy to find the speed with which the body will be able to cross the null point after which it will be attracted by the smaller star...
