  1.
  2. Sir since protons can't move then how positive charge resides on outermost surface of metal.
    5 years ago by undefined
    Ans 1 ->
    electrons move away from outermost surface of metal increasing positive charge concentration in that region.

  6. Why the charge always resides on outer surface of the body
    7 years ago by Yash Shukla
    Ans 1 ->
    Due to mutual repulsion

  8. in this illustration there are 10 e- what will happen if there are 9or any odd number of e- how will they equally divide and create a equilibrium.
    9 years ago by Samarth Mathur
    Ans 1 ->
    nice question

    Ans 2 ->
    nice question

    Ans 3 ->
    Maybe the e- will reside at the middle of the conducting wire

  10. Why does transfer of charges say electrons take place from a charged body to an uncharged body when a metal wire is connected . Why does the charge not further transferred when both the bodies attain same number of electrons/charges?
    9 years ago by Rahul Ganotra
    Ans 1 ->
    its the concept of equilibrium.
    9 years ago by Steve Islary
    Ans 2 ->
    to remain in equilibrium exchange of charge is necessary
    9 years ago by Saksham Jain
    Ans 3 ->
    metals show the property by which charge is uniformly distributed over the surface.also charge dbodies are unstable and try to reduce the charge over them.two bodies will have equally charge transferred between them only if they are made of same material.
